Mid-Season Update (and Happy Canada Day, Eh?)

No, it's not Wade. It's me, Johnny Smoke ...again.

Wade is stupidly busy at this time of year, so don't be bummed out if you don't get your question answered in a timely fashion. He just got back from a trips to Utah and to Europe, and is riding at a ridiculously high level right now (although he had a little bad luck in qualifying at Saalbach). From the sounds of things, the next installment of New World Disorder will be sicker than ever.

I managed to drag him out for a ride last week with some guys from North Carolina, and there's some pics and stories up at a few other sites.

Check out:

That's all for now.....keep sending in your questions. I'll get him to answer a few soon.

For Queen and Empire

Wade is currently on assignment in Utah and has been too busy to post, so I'm taking some liberties here.

He was recently in the UK, and took Cove Bikes protegee Geoff Gulevich with him for support. While you are looking at the pics, keep in mind that they thought that they would be bored over there.

Hmmmmmmmmm.

Wade is back soon from his latest trip, filming in Utah for the next installment of The Collective.

longtime no blog

Hey sports fans. It's been a while since I've posted anything but that's because I've been busy at the office: the green office!

Richie, Thomas, Rob Yauch our german freerider and I were in California with the photographer Sterling Lorence with the mission to shoot catalogue stuff and possible posters. Richie had been down in the Laguna Beach area hangin' with Hans Rey and Brian Lopes for the past 2 months and had scoped some good stuff to shoot! We rode some sic stuff around Laguna then headed toward L.A. to this trail called whoop trail and I've never seen so many freakin' doubles!!! super fun! Then we rode a trail in the Simi Valley that had been built by some DHers and it was sickly fun as well. Thanks to Nora the Cali rep and George local bro and Rico! Sorry kiddies no photos to post except for some locs.....stay tuned for shots in the new catalogue.

$20 000 Raised for Tsunami Relief

After all is said and done the benefit sale raised $10 000 with a donated gear sale. In addition to the $7 800 brought in by the generous people of North Van, the Cove Bike Shop kicked down $1 200 to bring the total to a nice round $10 000.

The Canadian Government matched dollar for dollar making the total $20 000

Thanks to all who gave and bought.
